Mitigation Funding: LEED’s New Approach to Conservation

SSpc83 - Pilot Alternative Compliance Path provides new way to support habitat conservation efforts.

USGBC is committed to protecting habitat and undeveloped land. As part of this commitment, USGBC has issued SSpc83 – Pilot ACP for Site Development – Protect or Restore Habitat. This pilot credit allows another pathway for project teams to achieve the credit SSc5.1/SSc5: Site Development Protect or Restore Habitat, without changing any element of the established compliance path.

SSpc83 will allow project teams to financially support conservation efforts of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). NFWF will be administering these funds to support open land conservation and other conservations needs. This document provides information about SSpc83, as well as other habitat and land conservation efforts within LEED.
