Earlier this month the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC) announced the winners of the 2015 Beyond Green High-Performance Building and Community Awards.

SBIC’s annual awards program recognizes buildings and initiatives that shape, inform, and catalyze the high-performance building market. Each year projects are identified as the best representatives in several categories, including: High-Performance Buildings, High-Performance Attributes and Systems, High-Performance Initiatives, and Innovations for High-Performance Buildings and Communities.

The 2015 SBIC Beyond Green High-Performance Building Award Winners included:

  • United Nations Headquarters Renovation (Honor Award: High Performance Buildings)
  • Center for Sustainable Landscapes at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens (Merit Award: High Performance Buildings)
  • Efficient Homes Initiative of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (Merit Award: High Performance Initiatives).

The Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC) works to promote exceptional performance within the built industry through the advancement of a ‘whole building approach’.
