GBIG Tracking Update: Follow Your Faves

Mira Panek

Have you noticed the  +Follow button on GBIG? It’s there on Place pages, Building pages and in Search Results. Clicking this button while logged in will add the selected place or building to your personal GBIG news feed, meaning we will keep track of any new activity that occurs at these buildings or places – project registrations, certifications, awards, disclosures, publications, etc. – and let you know about it. You can choose to receive weekly or monthly notifications, and GBIG will send you all the updates on the places and buildings you are following in the form of GBIG News, which is delivered right to your inbox.Followbutton

You can follow up to 10 buildings and 10 places as a verified USGBC member or LEED Professional, and you can view news for all the things you’re following at any time by clicking on the ‘Following’ tab from you’re my GBIG page.

Tracking projects and places in GBIG is an easy way for you to stay current on green building activity in the locations that matter most to you and your business. You’ll be the first to know about the places experiencing an uptick in registrations or the buildings that are now benchmarking energy data. The ‘Follow’ feature is also a great way to see what’s happening at buildings you’ve worked on in the past, so if that building you helped design two years ago wins an award, GBIG will tell you about it… so you can tell others.
