Hines project becomes most awarded building in the history of ENERGY STAR.

U.S. Airways Corporate Headquarters in Tempe, Arizona was recently awarded ENERGY STAR certification for the 15th consecutive year, making it the most awarded building in the history of the program. The 244,000 square foot office building was completed in 1999, earned it’s first ENERGY STAR label (75) the following year, and has been steadily improving operational energy performance ever since.  The building’s 2014 score of 95 is the 6th straight year it has been awarded a rating of 92 or higher.

In addition to participating in the ENERGY STAR program, U.S. Airways HQ has been awarded multiple LEED for Existing Buildings certifications, including LEED-EB 2008 (Gold) in November 2009 and re-certified LEED-EB 2009 (Gold) this past year.
